Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in Islamabad Stock Exchange


A voluntary blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Islamabad Metropolitan at the Islamabad Stock Exchange (ISE) Tower. The employees at the ISE donated blood. ISE blood donors were provided free blood grouping and screening of infectious diseases by the PIMS Hospital Blood Bank. The donated blood utilized for transfusion to children affected by thalassaemia, at the PIMS thalassaemia centre. The donors were highly motivated to become part of this noble cause and participated in the initiative to make Islamabad the first city to have complete reliance on voluntary blood donations. The ISE Vice President appreciated the efforts of SBTP staff to promote voluntary blood donation and underlined the need to increase the number of voluntary blood donation in Pakistan.
